From £40.00

SS-31 (D-Arg-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH₂), also known as Elamipretide or Bendavia, is a synthetic cell-permeable tetrapeptide developed at the Szeto-Schiller laboratory at Weill Cornell Medical College. It belongs to the Szeto-Schiller (SS) peptide family and is characterised by its alternating aromatic-cationic structure, which enables it to selectively concentrate at the inner mitochondrial membrane. Published research has examined its interaction with cardiolipin — a phospholipid unique to the inner mitochondrial membrane — and its effects on electron transport chain efficiency in isolated mitochondria and cell-based bioenergetic assays. Supplied as a >99% purity lyophilised powder.

This product is intended strictly for laboratory research use only. It is not approved for human or veterinary consumption or for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
