Epithalon (also known as Epitalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the amino acid sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It was developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology as a synthetic analogue of the naturally occurring polypeptide Epithalamin, which is extracted from the pineal gland. Epithalon is one of the most researched peptides in the field of biogerontology, with published studies examining its interactions with telomerase enzyme activity in human somatic cell cultures and its effects on antioxidant enzyme expression in laboratory models. Research papers have also explored its influence on melatonin-producing pinealocyte cultures. Supplied as a >99% purity lyophilised powder.

This product is intended strictly for laboratory research use only. It is not approved for human or veterinary consumption or for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
